About the role
Help shape the future of customer loyalty at Transurban. We’re searching for a strategic, relationship driven Partner Development Manager to lead the acquisition and enablement of new partners for our growing Rewards program.
This role is all about identifying high value opportunities, building strong commercial relationships, and ensuring new partners are seamlessly integrated into our ecosystem. You’ll play a pivotal part in driving program growth, elevating partner engagement, and delivering exceptional experiences for our customers.
Day to day, you will:
Scout the market for new partnership opportunities, using industry insights and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective partners, prioritising opportunities that align with long term strategic goals
Establish and nurture meaningful relationships with potential partners, understanding their needs and crafting compelling partnership proposals
Lead commercial negotiations and finalise agreements that deliver shared value and support sustainable program growth
Assess commercial potential through due diligence, financial analysis, and strategic evaluation
Develop business cases that clearly articulate value creation and alignment with program objectives
Design and implement integration strategies that ensure new partners are seamlessly onboarded
Collaborate with internal teams across marketing, product, analytics, legal, finance and technology to support successful partner activation
Act as a key liaison between external partners and internal stakeholders, resolving challenges and unlocking new opportunities
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer centric thinking
This role will suit someone with:
A tertiary qualification in business, communications, or a related field
Demonstrated success in business development, sales, or partnership roles—ideally within loyalty, rewards, or customer engagement environments
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to deliver persuasive, insight driven presentations
A proven track record of building and sustaining effective commercial partnerships
Strategic thinking and the ability to identify and evaluate growth opportunities
Confidence in analysing data and translating insights into actionable strategies
A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across cross functional teams
High motivation, strong commercial acumen, and a focus on delivering outcomes
Flexibility to travel for partner meetings and industry events when required
If you meet most but not all of these requirements, we still encourage you to apply.
With a career at Transurban, you’ll enjoy:
Flexible working options, including the ability to purchase up to six weeks of additional leave each year
16 weeks paid parental leave (for all genders and carer types), plus superannuation on unpaid leave
Career development and leadership growth opportunities
Wellbeing support—from Headspace to EAP and onsite wellness facilities
Share offers and discounted insurance benefits
Team events, volunteer days, and community initiatives
We offer a range of flexible working and leave options so you can balance work, life, and what matters most. Let’s talk about what flexibility could look like for you.
