What this opportunity involves:

In proud partnership with Australia Post, JLL is seeking a Paralegal to join us in shaping the future of parcel delivery across Australia.

You will collaborate with our Transaction Management team, client, and legal providers to coordinate negotiation and execution of legal documents across the national Parcel Locker portfolio. Your work directly impacts delivery timelines and risk mitigation for our well-esteemed client.

Whilst this is a hybrid role, please note that you are required to attend the office in Richmond at least 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, negotiate and execute legal documents for leasing transactions, ensuring compliance with client policies and critical requirements
  • Certify documents for client execution, confirming accuracy and alignment with instructions and client standard positions
  • Maintain transaction databases and soft copy files with complete accuracy and timely updates across all systems
  • Manage external solicitor costs within fixed fee scopes while coordinating legal negotiations and timelines
  • Build relationships with major landlord contacts and facilitate negotiation of national landlord/Australia Post precedent documents
  • Handle lease interpretations and disputes along with other general ad hoc matters as delegated
  • Support reporting and analysis, attend meetings and contribute to process improvements and template updates
  • Initiate site onboarding processes across various systems and databases to enable timely payment of licence fees

Essential Requirements

  • Legal or property qualifications and/or experience within a law firm or retail landlord/tenant organisation
  • Demonstrated understanding of leases and contracts, preferably from property or legal industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
