Outside Sales Representative

The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of 20-30 existing customer accounts, with ownership of an $8-9 million revenue budget. This is a relationship-driven role focused on delivering value to customers, identifying growth opportunities, and building strong partnerships with both clients and vendors.

You will work closely with internal teams and supplier partners to provide tailored solutions, support customer requirements, and ensure long-term account success.
 

 Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of 20-30 existing customer accounts across your designated territory.
  • Achieve sales and revenue targets across an $8-9 million account portfolio.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth through proactive engagement and solution-based selling.
  • Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and product presentations to customers.
  • Conduct price negotiations and manage commercial discussions to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Work closely with vendor partners to strengthen relationships, maximise opportunities, and support joint business initiatives.
  • Attend customer meetings, industry events, networking functions, and trade shows as a representative of the business.
  • Collaborate with internal sales, operations, and support teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, activity reporting, and sales forecasting.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings

About You
We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
 
You will ideally possess the following skills and experience:
 

  • Previous experience in a Sales Executive, Account Manager, Internal Sales, Business Development, or similar customer-facing role.
  • Industry experience within electronic security, electrical, technology, ICT, or a related technical environment will be highly regarded.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish credibility and trust with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach with a willingness to take ownership and get things done.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to confidently present products, articulate value propositions, and identify customer needs.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and accounts effectively.
  • A responsive, reliable, and self-sufficient working style.
  • A willingness to learn, develop product knowledge, and continuously improve.
  • Most importantly, a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine commitment to customer success.
