Operations Supervisor

Position Details

As we continue our transformation and growth journey in the region, we are now looking to appoint an Operations Supervisor to join our team at Hume Rd in Laverton North, Melbourne.

This is an afternoon shift role which comes with a 15% shift allowance.

With a focus on safety and building & maintaining the highest levels of engagement and performance, you will report into the Team Manager and play a key role in supporting great performance, culture, customers and revenue outcomes.

Key KPIs/deliverables include, but are not limited to:

• Leading shift safety initiatives and being a visible safety champion.

• Ensuring company safety policies and procedures are implemented.

• Ensuring agreed customer service levels are met on a consistent basis and regularly review and take corrective actions to address any issues.

• Ensuring productivity outcomes are achieved via direct supervision and allocation of tasks.

• Seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement with a focus on cost reduction.

• Ensuring all staff are trained to operate all machinery/equipment and understand the Company’s warehouse work systems.

• Managing the operation within agreed contractual parameters to deliver quality customer service.

• Leading and managing performance of the team, including reviewing KPIs on a regular basis.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Experience in a similar role within the logistics and transport industry.

• Experience supporting a small or medium sized team.

• Extensive experience working within regulatory frameworks.

• The ability to determine how manpower and equipment meet workload demands in line with legal and industrial relations frameworks.

• An excellent understanding of and experience implementing safety procedures and, product safety initiatives in line with quality standards and legal requirements.

• A good understanding of MHE and traffic management.

• Unwavering customer service focus.
