About the Role

The position reports to the Director of Regional Operations and will be a key member of the ANZ management team. The Operations Manager will engage and lead your team to drive performance in the achievement of established goals. Partnering with a range of internal and external stakeholders, you will build and manage relationships to influence key business outcomes for manufacturing sites in Australia and NZ. As a leader within the business, you will play an instrumental role in creating and implementing processes and procedures, driving best practice and continuous improvement initiatives to maximise efficiencies and improve operational performance whilst ensuring a safe workplace for all team members.

The successful applicant will need to be:

•            Highly motivated and results focused.

•            A strategic and pragmatic thinker.

•            A structured problem solver able to identify and drive change in procedures and processes to reduce cost and improve efficiencies.

•            Passionate about driving continuous improvement.

Demonstrate:

•            At least 5 years experience in a similar role.

•            Excellent communication skills.

•            An ability to manage multiple locations.

•            Track record of motivating and developing a team to deliver outstanding results.

•            Experience in KPI implementation, management and ongoing improvement.

•            Experience in warehousing and logistics

•            Strong knowledge of freight distribution and costs associated with different fulfilment options.

•            Ability to critically analyse and identify improvement areas in operations.

•            Understanding of Lean, 5S and Kaizen and the practical implementation of these disciplines.

•            Ability to manage multiple improvement projects simultaneously.

•            Inspire others with a compelling safety vision and demonstrate your commitment to reduce risks by motivating and encouraging your team

•            Build engineering performance, increasing capability to support growth across multiple sites

•            Coach and develop the production team to ensure they have the capability to meet the performance goals

•            Lead performance through a culture of inclusion and transparency.

•            Gain a deep understanding of customer requirements and ensure customer expectations are exceed

•            Manage, monitor and achieve set KPI's and budgets

•            A participating member of the AP Management Operations Team involved in the continued development of the wider regional operational functions.

To be successful in the role you will have:

•            A high level of leadership with effective communication skills

•            Ability to analyze large volumes of data and turning into purposeful insights for your team

•            Knowledge of relevant legislative and compliance requirements

•            Demonstrated understanding of business systems that involve costing and planning

•            Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and influence senior stakeholders internal and external to the organisation

•            Ability to coach and develop others, monitor and measure performance and provide direct feedback. Implementing cultural change through leadership, engagement and coaching

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•            MBA preferred in relevant Operations, Manufacturing or Supply Chain discipline

•            5-7 years direct management experience across multi operational functions

•            Qualification and experience in an engineering background

•            Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt or Master Black Belt qualification
