The opportunity
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Lead to join our team. This is a hands-on role where your credit assessment experience and deep knowledge of the home loan industry will be essential in supporting technology implementations, process improvements and operational activities across our Underwriting and Operations team.
Your new role
Suited towards a seasoned Credit Assessor or Quality Consultant, you will join process improvement initiatives to support business transformation and simplification across LMI Operations and Underwriting. This means you will be hands-on in a multi facet role, completing application reviews, reporting and interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
In addition to the above you will also:
- Liaise with stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve technical, process and/or credit related issues as they arise.
- Actively support the planning, testing and implementation of technology uplifts and operational changes, both internal and externally
- A key contact relating to escalations (operational or individual borrower applications) to develop technical understanding of the relevant process and resolve issues.
About you
You will possess extensive experience within Retail Lending or Lenders Mortgage Insurance products along with:
- Communication, analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Comfortable with hands-on involvement in credit assessment, quality reviews, process execution and issue resolution
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, ability to build relationships and influence outcomes without formal authority
- Customer centric approach and adaptability to change
- Highly organised and can manage concurrent projects with an ability to multitask across priorities
- Credit assessment background with practical experience in home loan processing, credit decisioning, and/or credit quality assurance
