The Position:
The Operations Excellence Partner will partner with the business to drive continuous improvement of work and system processes enhancing performance management, improving productivity to better serve our customers across Oceania (Australia & New Zealand).
This position can be based in either Melbourne or Sydney.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business processes for various business units (Customs, Transport, Air, LCL & Equipment) & work with internal and external stakeholders to provide recommendations and support change management and implementation of projects
- Drive & anchor project management as well as global initiatives for implementation.
- Develop structured continuous improvement strategies, i.e., define what is to be measured, gather and analyze the data, present information to aid decision-making, and implement and follow through on the Continuous Improvement Plan.
- Drive out of the box thinking, focusing on process redesign and continuous re-thinking to improve efficiencies, eliminate waste and contain/reduce costs.
- Drive a continuous improvement mindset & culture via on-the-job application of LEAN techniques/tools.
- Drive process standardization and ensure adherence across the Oceania business.
- Continuously align initiatives & manage risks associated with deployment of initiatives, supporting with adopting new tools, processes and guidelines.
Who We are Looking For:
- Strong experience in the Shipping & Logistics industry, including expertise in Operations Excellence & Project Management
- Advanced PowerBI & Excel skills
- Experience in LEAN / Six Sigma and Python scripting would be added advantageous
- Experience training, coaching and driving adoption across teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive change management
- Highly structured and analytical
- Results-driven combined with the ability to achieve results through people
