What You Will Get To Do:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operational Risk Specialist to join our team in the superannuation administration industry. This role is critical in strengthening our risk management framework and ensuring operational resilience. You will be responsible for:

  • Performing risk assessments across operational processes and projects.

  • Designing, implementing, and monitoring controls to mitigate operational risks.

  • Maintaining and updating the Operations Team risk profile, ensuring alignment with regulatory and business requirements.

  • Managing and coordinating incident management, including root cause analysis, rectification, remediation and client engagement.

  • Overseeing financial crime management activities, ensuring compliance with AML/CTF obligations.

  • Preparing and delivering risk reporting to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting trends and emerging risks.

  • Facilitating and attending client meetings relating to Operational risk matters as required.

What You Will Bring:

  • Experience in operational risk management within superannuation or financial services.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to coordinate work across multiple teams and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.

  • Knowledge of risk frameworks, incident management processes, and financial crime compliance.

  • A commitment to fairness, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments.
