Offshore wind specialists – environmental impact assessments

We are seeking environmental impact assessment practitioners experienced in offshore wind projects, from Principal Consultant to Technical Director/Partner level, to be based in our Melbourne office (hybrid working available).

You will play a leadership role in ensuring that offshore wind and marine infrastructure projects are developed in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner. You will be supported by a large cohort of industry leading technical specialists and environmental professionals, including ERM’s Australian and Global Marine and Impact Assessment Technical Communities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior professional looking to advance their career level with a global environmental leader.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead EIS/EES projects in marine environments and as an offshore wind specialist.
  • Lead the design, mobilisation, fieldwork coordination and reporting for marine baseline studies, including being a key contributor to safety planning.
  • Manage projects to scope and budget, and ensure team and stakeholder relationships are maintained to an exceptional standard. 
  • Collaborate with technical team leads to develop and deliver superior outcomes for our clients.
  • Support Account Directors in maintaining existing client relationships and develop strategies to pursue and win new business opportunities.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and mentor junior team members to develop their skills.

If you have the following, we want to hear from you:

  • 10+ years’ experience in environmental planning and impact assessments on offshore projects, including 5+ years’ experience in environmental consulting – experience in Australia and internationally highly desirable.
  • Excellent project management and project delivery skills, including budgeting, resourcing, scheduling, risk management, and communications.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and sustaining excellent relationships with clients, stakeholders and teams.
  • Tertiary degree in Marine Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Authorisation to work in Australia.
