Position Description
We are looking for a dynamic and aspirational finance person to join our team.
As a Finance and Accounting Executive based in Melbourne, you will play a crucial role in supporting and growing the financial operations and capability of the company while acting as a key link between our local team and Singapore-based HQ.
You will collaborate closely with our Sales Operations, People and Culture (HR) and Marketing teams to align financial processes with business goals and policies. With strong financial acumen, attention to detail and communication skills, your growth and 360 learning journey will be instrumental in ensuring the constant growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare periodic and ad-hoc financial reports to be communicated with senior team and HQ.
- Manage the accounts payable and receivable transactions and maintain credit control processes to follow up with overdue payments and receipts.
- Monitor and update company cash flows and liaise with banks for company finance requirements.
- Analyse currency markets to determine exchange rates for accurate financial entries.
- Assist with multi-year financial planning activities, including budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Coordinate rebates from vendors where applicable and keep track of entitlements.
- Assist in implementation of incentive programs for channel partners.
- Maintain accurate commission and recognition calculations for the team and ensure timely payouts.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations, People and Culture (HR) and Marketing teams to facilitate financial and other activities, such as ESG initiatives, and provide relevant cultural context to HQ.
- Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards and other financial accounts.
- Maintain and update key financial records and documents for reporting and audit purposes.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting systems (e.g. Netsuite, Xero, MYOB or similar).
- Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
- Able to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.
