Ericsson is launching a new R&D center in Yokohama dedicated to radio and software development. This hub will collaborate with leading Japanese CSPs and local vendors to deliver innovative products for global networks. We are hiring engineers at all experience levels to join our team and help develop advanced 5G/6G radio systems. The center aims to strengthen Ericsson's ties with Japan's technology ecosystem and accelerate the delivery of high-performance radio solutions worldwide.
The opportunity
We are now recruiting design engineers in different HW areas, covering mechanical, power supply, filter, electronics, system integration and quality to join a multi-disciplinary team developing state of the art radio products for 5G/6G mobile systems. This is an opportunity to develop as a professional in selected areas through work across areas of research, pre-development, product development and aftermarket activities. This is an opportunity to design radio products that will be part of Ericsson's portfolio deployed in Japan and globally and contribute to Ericsson's Technology Leadership.
What you will do - Be part of design and development for Ericsson future radio systems (from innovation and research prototypes to product development and field support)- Be part of global R&D network in chosen area of interest with access to Ericsson's leading technology- Conduct product relevant simulation, schematic or drawing design, testing, and performance analysis to drive continuous product improvement- Work hands -on in the lab with top-of-the-line instrumentation- Collaborate closely with system architects, software teams, vendors and operators to meet performance, reliability and manufacturability targets- Plan and prioritize work, deliver results to timelines and customer expectations, and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation
Who we're looking for :- You have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication or similar technical education- Solid foundation in hardware knowledge, with strong interest in one of areas of RF, electronics, mechanics, power, or system integration- You are curious to learn and grow in area of radio product development- Self-driven and solution oriented with ability to learn and innovate- You have good communication skills; Able to work in English- Team player with focus on team success
