Cloudera is seeking an energetic and innovative New Business Account Executive with a flair for developing new business and identifying and selling to customer needs. You'll join our relationship-driven team and take charge of developing detailed sales/marketing plans and maximising sales opportunities to drive results and inspire productivity and teamwork. You will rely on your experience and good judgment to proactively build and exponentially grow accounts and drive year-over-year growth in line with the revenue goals.

 

As a New Business Account Executive you will:

  • Drive success via the sale and delivery of Cloudera Data and AI solutions across new customers.

  • Develop sell with and sell through Partner engagements.

  • Drive demand generation activities with inside sales and external demand generation activities.

  • Develop and deliver business plans to address customer and prospect priorities and critical needs.

  • Build growth through internal and external collaboration.

  • Own your account relationships, drive net new revenue in your territory with a focus on white space accounts.

  • Build consensus and develop relationships at multiple levels – executive sponsors, influencers and decision makers.

  • Lead large scale transactions to close large scale deals.

  • Build pipeline, forecast business, lead the internal team, communicate key updates and competitive intelligence.

  • Exceed quarterly and annual new and expansion software, renewals and professional services goals.

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • 4+ years of sales & business development experience with a strong track record of success.

  • Strong hunting capabilities with experience developing, managing and closing new business accounts.

  • Collaborative and aspirational thinker.

  • Ability to operate independently in an entrepreneurial environment.

  • An established network of senior customer relationships within the target market.

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

  • Self-motivation, quick thinker and ability to perform in high pressure situations.

  • Enterprise software and/or Big Data technologies experience preferred.

  • BA/BS or equivalent educational background.
