Your New Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our Digital Modernisation Division, working in some of the most complex, multi-vendor tech environments, alongside a supportive and collaborative team.

This role requires technical expertise in network engineering, including the implementation and management of software defined network infrastructure. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a commitment to continuous learning. If you are passionate about optimising network performance and thrive in a collaborative environment, this role is for you. Willingness to participate in an on-call roster

More specifically, it will include the following:

  • Software-Defined Network administration and management
  • Configuration and management of routers, switches, and firewalls
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols and tools and management of security measures for network infrastructure
  • Experience with cloud-based network solutions as well as troubleshooting and resolving network issues
  • Writing high-quality technical documentation
  • Adapting to new requirements and problem sets quickly

About You and What You'll Bring

You are a motivated Network Engineer with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. You have an understanding of security in cloud-based infrastructure and experience in implementing network-related changes in a software defined datacentre, including the interconnection and interfacing of routers, firewalls, and other network devices.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and to hold a current baseline clearance.
