Job Summary
Job DescriptionWhat you’ll do
In this role, you’ll help shape the future of InfraCo’s critical infrastructure by coordinating major capital works and ensuring they integrate seamlessly with our complex, existing environments. You’ll contribute to delivering smart, reliable engineering outcomes that strengthen power and cooling capabilities across our national footprint.
Your work will cover everything from project scoping and budgeting to kicking off new initiatives and guiding them through design, construction, and final delivery. You’ll also lead technical feasibility assessments—covering cost modelling, engineering evaluation, and risk analysis—to support confident, data‑driven decisions.
Key responsibilities
Deliver the FY26 Building Degradation Program across InfraCo Fixed Network Sites using strong planning, prioritisation, and coordination skills.
Lead or support complex feasibility assessments for priority asset upgrades, clearly identifying risks, opportunities, and the most efficient path forward.
Develop practical, minimum‑viable engineering solutions that maintain service reliability for Telstra customers while enabling potential commercial value.
Scope, estimate, and plan Design & Construct activities alongside Program Delivery, Contract Management, and external contractors—balancing cost, schedule, and scope while understanding Capex/Opex impacts.
Promote and model safe work behaviours, meeting all HSE requirements and completing required compliance training.
About you
You thrive on tackling real‑world engineering problems and enjoy collaborating with diverse teams. You bring a mix of technical capability, curiosity, and proactive thinking—and you’re comfortable sharing ideas, challenging assumptions, and helping drive better outcomes.
You’ll bring:
Technical experience in Building Engineering Services—ideally across AC/DC power, HVAC, energy/renewables, or data centre environments.
Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, single‑line diagrams, and relevant Australian Standards.
Confident critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills, particularly when working through complex engineering decisions.
A collaborative communication style that helps build trust with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Experience in capacity planning, end‑to‑end project ownership, budget development, and cost estimation for Design & Construct works.
This is a 12‑month Fixed Term Opportunity, and you can be based in any major Australian city.
