Your New Role and Responsibilities

Leidos Australia is seeking multiple skilled Network Administrators to join our GEOSPACES program, delivering advanced national security technology solutions in a secure, high-compliance government environment.

These key technical roles are responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of the organisations data and voice communication networks, ensuring the stability, integrity, and security of critical network services that support mission-essential operations. Responsibilities in these roles will include;

  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure hardware, including switches, routers, firewalls and wireless access points, to ensure high availability and performance.

  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 incident response and resolution for network outages and complex connectivity issues, minimising disruption to business operations.

  • Implement and enforce network security policies, manage firewall rules and conduct ongoing monitoring to safeguard the network from unauthorised access and cyber threats.

  • Configure network devices and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date documentation of network topology, configurations and procedures.

  • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks and apply optimisation strategies to maintain optimal network health and capacity.

What You’ll Bring to Make An Impact

  • Strong understanding of core networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.

  • Hands‑on experience working with enterprise‑grade networking hardware, including platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto and Fortinet.

  • Experience managing and troubleshooting network security devices and firewall policies.

  • Proven ability to use network analysis and monitoring tools, such as Wireshark and SolarWinds, to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.

Due to the nature of the role, you must be an Australian Citizen who holds an active TSPV security clearance; accompanied by the ability to be successful for a DISA/OSA.
