The National Field Sales Lead oversees the Regional P&L, leading the Route to Market team to achieve performance goals. Responsibilities include managing customer relationships, executing sales plans, conducting annual store reviews, and ensuring insight-led selling discussions. Job Description
This role oversees achievement of the Regional P&L, including proactive reporting and variance management. You would report into the Managing Director NZ and have 3 direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work effectively to lead the Route to Market team, build strong cross functional & peer relationships, to enable successful delivery of total business results.
- Lead RTM team to effectively manage Regional performance through regular performance review, sales and negotiation.
- Ensure Regional plans are in place within the team to deliver required outcomes including store plans which are reviewed and optimised .
- Have a strategic and operational understanding of the customer within Regions , which is used to create RTM profiles and plans .
- Effectively lead and manage customer contact to drive strategic customer relationship including store reviews.
- Work with relevant teams to ensure exceptional customer service is delivered in the areas of distribution & SC, Customer service and finance . Actively manage accounts in all these areas and include in strategic review meetings.
- Ensure Executional Excellence within the RTM team in all areas at store level.
- Ensure team are well planned using the KHC way of selling and execute the sales plan effectively to meet agreed targets for NPD and sales .
- Actively work to build team knowledge and use of category, brand, consumer and competitor insights to enable insight lead selling discussions in store .
- Ensure selling stories are insight based and coherent across regions .
- Lead annual store reviews with the Customer. Ensure this cascades into comprehensive plans for each team member which are executed and tracked.
- Actively participate in the development of the KHC Sales & Channel Plan .
- Work with the Account Managers to help develop executional plans and identify opportunities which ensure delivery of the Channel and Customer Plans.
- Perform assigned tasks by all Kraft Heinz Food Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety, and Ethical and Human Resources policies, programs and goals.
About you:
- T ertiary qualifications in Sales, Marketing, or Business.
- Strong background in FMCG
- Experience working with large retailers.
- Negotiation and Influencing
- Proven ability to lead and develop others
