Job Expectations

Build your career and Australia’s future.

Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.

A bit about your role

In your new role as the National Field Safety and Wellbeing Lead, you will work across relevant internal and external stakeholder groups as well as into the greater Field team, providing S&W leadership excellence and subject matter expertise.

The role will collaborate and support Field Services management and staff in developing, implementing and maintaining the Field S&W Framework that drives a S&W Aware culture and mitigates the risks of injury or harm to all staff through the implementation of effective controls. The framework will cover S&W Policies, Procedures, Regulatory Compliance, Codes of Practice, Safe Work Method Statements and Work Instructions relevant to the Field Services environment.

A bit about you

If this sounds like the role for you, then you will possess a qualification in Workplace Health & Safety and ICAM lead investigator training along with experience in construction, building, utility services or similar high risk work environments. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational, interpersonal and leadership skills as well as a proven track record in a senior Safety & Wellbeing role in a matrix organisation. A strong understanding of WHS legislation including Safe Worth Method Statements, Risk Management and Contract Management is also essential to the role.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
