The opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Multinational- Liability Underwriter, to join our Commercial Underwriting Division. Your primary focus in this role will see you providing underwriting and technical support to enable the Underwriting Team to develop a profitable portfolio and deliver an excellent level of service to our customers.

Your new role
You will work collaboratively within a team environment, with broad development opportunities, to ensure profitable growth by performing quotes, renewals, policy maintenance, problem solving and relationship building with intermediaries.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Contribute to meetings by sharing strategy, knowledge, and multinational best‑practice while adhering to regulatory and risk requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and customers to reinforce QBE’s position as a consistent and innovative risk partner.
- Collaborate with regional teams to deliver cross‑class client solutions and enhance engagement.
- Cultivate relationships with major trading partners, intermediaries, and customers through regular meetings.
- Underwrite new business and renewals, providing timely, accurate quotes and maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
- Manage underwriting administration, including file management, pricing tools, endorsements, and risk‑survey recommendations.
About you
You are a Liability Underwriter or Insurance Broker with some experience within the market who prides themselves on the relationships they build.
You will have:
- Proven experience in underwriting General Liability or Broking in the current market and knowledge of insurance industry.
- Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
- Demonstrated adherence to underwriting standards, policies and procedures
- Ability to demonstrate successful growth of profitable business, through new business and renewal growth
- Demonstrated maturity to manage outcomes to complex risks and communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail
