As an MT4 Engineer, you will be at the heart of our trading infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of the MetaTrader 4 platform. This role plays a critical part in supporting our brokerage operations by enabling accurate trade execution, robust risk controls, and scalable client account management. Your expertise will directly impact trading reliability, client satisfaction, and our ability to innovate in a fast-moving market.You’ll serve as the go-to expert for all things MT4, leveraging your technical depth and operational rigor to maintain high system uptime, meet regulatory standards, and support automation across the board.
Responsibilities
- Trade Execution & Monitoring: Ensure efficient and accurate trade execution via MT4, with constant monitoring for optimal order placement and platform stability.
- Risk Controls & Strategy Implementation: Manage platform-level risk via stop-loss, take-profit parameters, and exposure limits—ensuring proactive mitigation across accounts.
- Account Configuration & Scalability: Oversee the creation, configuration, and management of client trading accounts, including margin, leverage, and allocation through MAM/PAMM systems.
- Platform Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and Expert Advisors (EAs) to streamline trade management, account handling, and reporting tasks.
- Reporting & Data Insights: Generate and deliver actionable reports on trading activity, client exposure, and performance metrics—powering decisions across Compliance, Trading, and Finance.
- Operational Troubleshooting: Act as first line of support for MT4-related issues, resolving disruptions swiftly while collaborating cross-functionally with Tech and Support.
- Regulatory & Internal Compliance: Enforce adherence to applicable regulatory standards and internal operating procedures across all MT4 operations.
Requirements
- Industry Experience: 3–5+ years in a brokerage, trading, or fintech operations environment with hands-on MT4/MT5 management.
- Platform Mastery: Deep understanding of MT4 platform architecture, including "The Manager," MAM/PAMM systems, and trade routing workflows.
- Automation Skills: Strong practical knowledge of EAs, scripting, and MT4 API integrations to support custom workflows and reporting.
- Operational Rigor: Proven ability to manage live trading environments with precision, accountability, and a zero-error mindset.
- Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with financial regulations, KYC/AML boundaries, and how these intersect with MT4 account management.
- Collaborative Communication: Clear communicator comfortable working with Traders, Tech, and Compliance teams to troubleshoot, plan, and deliver improvements.
