ResponsibilitiesApplication Development
Build and maintain applications using Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven) with an emphasis on usability, performance, and responsiveness.
Develop automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes.
Integrate apps with APIs, data sources (including Snowflake, SQL Server, SharePoint), and Microsoft Dataverse.
Implement UI/UX improvements for better user adoption and engagement.
Data Integration & MDM Support
Work together with data teams to ensure Power Apps solutions are consistent with MDM strategies.
Support master data quality by applying validation rules, governance policies, and integration checks within app workflows.
Contribute to the development of data models and integration strategies that ensure data consistency across systems.
Assist in identifying and resolving data quality issues within business apps.
Collaboration & Business Partnership
Partner with Business Analysts to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Work with collaborators across GIP and BlackRock to ensure app functionality supports investment, operational, and reporting goals.
Offer training, documentation, and assistance for end users of Power Apps solutions.
Optimization & Governance
Monitor and tune app and workflow performance for reliability and scalability.
Ensure adherence to data security, compliance, and governance standards.
Maintain documentation for applications, workflows, and integration points.
Evaluate new Power Platform features and propose improvements to the application ecosystem.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s or equivalent experience preferred.
Training or certification in Microsoft Power Platform and/or data governance (desired).
Experience
4–6 years of experience building applications through Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
Hands-on experience with API integrations, Dataverse, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Exposure to master data management, data governance, or data quality initiatives.
Experience working with enterprise-scale applications in financial services (preferred).
Skills
Skilled in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
Strong SQL and data integration skills; familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses is a plus.
Basic understanding of MDM principles, including data governance, data quality management, and stewardship.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to build and troubleshoot application workflows.
Knowledge of application lifecycle management, including testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with both business and technical collaborators.
Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, AWS) and Microsoft ecosystem tools.
