As a key member of our Engineering Team, you will be joining an existing secure networks specialist team that supports the implementation of a secure software development environment to support the MQ-28 Program.
Your role will involve assisting with the build, implementation and sustainment of industry-standard DevSecOps tools and integrations on an existing secure network supporting MQ-28.

Your role will involve assisting with the build, implementation and sustainment of industry-standard DevSecOps tools and integrations on an existing secure network supporting MQ-28.
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience planning and implementing secure Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software delivery processes based on software development lifecycle policies and Program requirements.
- Experience supporting secure Software Development Environments (SDEs). This includes:
- Planning, communicating and implementing scheduled maintenance and updates.
- Troubleshooting issues.
- Optimising application performance.
- Optimising system resource allocation.
- Maintaining SDE task backlog in Jira.
- Demonstrated proficiency with the following tools/Operating Systems:Experience supporting DevOps tool chains in compliance with mandated security governance requirements (i.e. ISM).
- Kubernetes and Docker - installation, configuration, maintenance and optimization.
- GitLab - CI/CD development, implementation and through life support.
- Developer VM's - configuration oversight of Windows, Ubuntu, and Redhat Operating Systems
- Configuration management - implementation and maintenance of Ansible playbooks.
- Demonstrated ability to produce and maintain clear and concise documentation (e.g. 'as built', configuration, system change and process documents).
Other specific criteria
- Systematic and logical problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in a defence or government environment is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified System Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- The ability to undertake occasional ad-hoc tasks outside of core business hours (e.g. system upgrades).
- Have an Australian driver's license
- This role is based in Brisbane and requires a NV2 security clearance. Some inter-state travel may be required to Boeing sites within Australia including Amberley and Woomera.
