About The Role

We’re looking for a Mobile Business Leader to lead, coach and grow a team of Aussie Mobile Mortgage Brokers across Greater Melbourne.

You’ll lead from the front, helping a mix of new and experienced brokers build their capability, grow their businesses and deliver great customer outcomes. From hands-on coaching and performance management to broker development and adoption of our AI-native tools and processes, you’ll play a key role in helping your team succeed.

This is a highly people-focused role for an experienced lending professional who loves developing others, driving sales performance and building a strong, connected team culture.

Job Description

  • Lead and inspire your broker team: Coach and manage a team of Mobile Mortgage Brokers, creating a high-performance culture focused on growth, customer outcomes and collaboration.
  • Develop broker capability: Provide hands-on coaching, training and mentoring, with a particular focus on helping newer brokers progress through their development pathway.
  • Drive sales performance: Use performance data and insights to identify opportunities, set priorities and help brokers achieve their sales and business goals.
  • Build a strong team culture: Create meaningful opportunities for brokers to connect, collaborate and learn from one another, both in person and virtually.
  • Grow the team: Support the recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of new brokers across your territory.
  • Champion smarter ways of working: Help brokers confidently adopt the Aussie Platform, AI-native tools and new processes that improve productivity and customer experience.
  • Shape the team's operating rhythm: Play an active role in team planning, meetings, coaching rhythms and broader sales initiatives.
  • Partner across the business: Build strong relationships with our Associate and Customer Solutions teams, Sales, Customer Experience, UX and lender partners to help remove roadblocks and improve broker outcomes.
  • Get out and represent Aussie: Support occasional industry, community and customer events, including some evening or weekend events.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong mortgage lending experience is essential, with a solid understanding of the home loan journey and the realities of working with brokers and customers.
  • Proven experience leading, coaching or developing Mortgage Brokers, Home Lenders or lending sales professionals.
  • A strong sales mindset with demonstrated success driving performance and achieving commercial outcomes.
  • Confidence using data to understand performance, identify opportunities and guide coaching conversations.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Strong capability across Microsoft Office, with confidence learning and using new technology and digital platforms.
  • A hands-on leadership style and genuine passion for developing people and helping them succeed.
  • Comfort working in an AI-native environment, with the curiosity and adaptability to embrace new tools and help your team do the same.

Nice to Have

  • Previous hands-on Mortgage Broking experience.
  • Experience leading a geographically dispersed or mobile sales team.
  • Experience developing new-to-industry or early-career brokers.
  • Experience using Canva to create or support local marketing activity.
  • Exposure to Salesforce or similar CRM and sales platforms.
