Mastercard Australia - Network Engineering - Expression of Interest

Are you an experienced Network Engineer with a passion for designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale network environments? Mastercard Australia is inviting expressions of interest for dynamic and skilled Network Engineers to join our team. About the Role:
As a Network Engineer at Mastercard, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our multi-site, multi-vendor MPLS network communication environments. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the robustness, security, and scalability of our network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead network projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure the network team is well-staffed, trained, and effectively managed.
- Participate in strategic and financial planning activities.
- Conduct cost analyses and present recommendations to senior management.
- Develop detailed requirements for network upgrades and re-architecture.
- Resolve complex network communications and operations issues.
- Engage in telecommunications initiatives and research innovative unified network solutions.
- Plan, control time and costs, utilize resources efficiently, and manage vendor relationships for regional projects.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of experience and formal education.
- IT experience in networking, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, wireless, security, and encryption technologies.
- Advanced experience with TCP/IP protocol communications.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco’s product portfolio.
- Proficiency in Project Management methodology and best practices.
- Expertise in network diagnostics, BGP, SNMP, VPN, SSH, MPLS technologies.
Skills and Abilities:
- Adaptable self-starter with excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish strategic plans and assist in policy development.
- Strong management skills to coach and mentor team members.
- Customer-focused with a keen understanding of business and technical project planning for product enhancements.
