About Altus Digital

Altus Digital is a growing Salesforce and MarTech consultancy. We design, build, and run customer engagement programs for enterprise Australian clients across property, education, telco, utilities, and logistics.

We are small, founder-led, and growing. The right person joins early, learns fast, and helps shape the way we work.

The role

We are hiring a Marketing Technology Analyst to take ownership of the day-to-day work that keeps client engagements moving: translating briefs into clear requirements, coordinating with our offshore delivery consultant, running QA on builds before they ship, and progressively getting hands-on with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, Marketing Cloud Next, and Data Cloud/360.

You will work directly with our two founders, who currently do most of the analyst, coordination, and quality assurance work themselves. Your job is to lift that work off them so they can focus on solution design, pre-sales, and technology roadmaps.

This is a junior role with a clear growth path. Within 12 months, we expect you to be running client work streams end-to-end with light oversight.

What you will do
  • Client communication. Be the day-to-day contact for assigned clients. Clarify briefs, chase missing inputs, confirm scope, and keep stakeholders updated.

  • Requirements translation. Translate marketing requirements into clear technical requirements. Confirm solution design with the founders or our offshore consultant before work starts.

  • Offshore coordination. Run requirements handoffs to our offshore Salesforce delivery consultant. Review their builds, validate solutions, and unblock them.

  • Change and scope management. Manage change requests with clients. Set clear expectations on timelines, scope, and quality assurance before changes are committed.

  • QA on platform builds. Test journeys, automations, queries, and data extensions in Salesforce Marketing Cloud before they go live. Catch issues before clients do.

  • Documentation ownership. Own solution design documents, client roadmaps, change logs, and process notes. Build the operational memory we don’t have time to build ourselves.

  • Hands-on platform work (over time). Get progressively hands-on in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, Marketing Cloud Next, and Data Cloud. Training and certification support provided.

  • Campaign execution. As your platform skills grow, help execute marketing campaigns end-to-end – email build, content QA, journey deployment, and post-deployment validation.

What we are looking for
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in marketing, marketing operations, business analysis, project coordination, or a related field. Recent graduates with strong internship or project experience will be considered.

  • Strong written and verbal communication. You will be speaking with senior client stakeholders within your first few weeks, so you need to be confident, clear, and comfortable chasing people for what you need.

  • Structured thinker. You can take a vague brief and turn it into a clean set of questions, requirements, and next steps.

  • Genuinely curious about technology. You don’t need to know Salesforce yet, but you should be the type of person who learns new software quickly and enjoys it.

  • Fluent with modern AI tools. We use Claude, Gemini, and similar tools every day for drafting, summarising, structuring requirements, and reviewing builds. You should already work this way too.

  • Detail-oriented. You notice the thing that was missed and the requirement that wasn’t said out loud.

  • Self-starter. We do not manage closely. If you need a task list handed to you each morning, this role won’t suit you.

  • Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas.

Nice to have
  • Exposure to Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Braze, Iterable, or any other enterprise marketing automation platform.

  • Marketing degree, business or analytics qualification, or a Salesforce certification (e.g. Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Administrator, Salesforce Administrator).

  • Experience working with offshore or distributed delivery teams.

  • Industry exposure to property, education, telecommunications, utilities, or logistics.

  • Familiarity with Jira, Plane, Google Workspace, or similar collaboration and project tools.

  • Basic SQL or comfort reading queries.

What we offer
  • Competitive salary and superannuation, with a formal review at six months based on performance.

  • Permanent full-time role with a real growth path. Within 12 months, you can be running client engagements with light oversight.

  • Hybrid working, based in Melbourne. You will primarily work from home, with light in-person collaboration — roughly a day a week or fortnight — increasing as the business grows. Best suited to Melbourne-based candidates.

  • Direct mentoring from two founders with deep Salesforce and martech delivery experience.

  • Real exposure to enterprise clients – ASX-listed property, top-tier universities, telcos, and large logistics businesses – the kind of work most analysts don’t see until they are senior.

  • Training and certification support for Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, Marketing Cloud Next, and Data Cloud.

  • A small, opinionated team that values clear thinking, candour, and getting things done.

Be honest with yourself before applying

We are a small consultancy at the growth stage. This means:

  • Variety over routine. Your week will look different from the last.

  • Visibility over hierarchy. Your output is seen. So is everything else.

  • High standards. We do not have time for the same mistake twice.

  • Real client pressure. You will be talking to senior marketers, IT leads, and procurement, often with tight deadlines.

If you want a structured graduate program with rotations and clearly defined ladders, this is not it. If you want to learn faster than your peers and own real work from week one, we would like to hear from you.

How to apply

Submit your CV and a short note (a few paragraphs is fine) covering:

  1. Why this role interests you specifically (not a generic cover letter).

  2. An example of when you had to chase someone or something to get a result.

  3. The most recent tool, platform, or technical concept you taught yourself.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
