Marketing Specialist - Product Strategy & Brand Communications (12 month contract)

About the role:
As the Marketing Specialist – Product Strategy & Brand Communications your role will be to contribute to the delivery of market-leading strategy, planning, positioning and execution of marketing communications for the JCDecaux Australia and New Zealand product portfolio.
Working closely with other members of the Marketing team as well as Sales and Trading teams, you will contribute to the creation, development and distribution of marketing content to increase awareness of JCDecaux’s distinctive offering, generate client engagement externally, as well as influence and generate revenue and market share objectives.
A Day in the Life:
- Work with Group Manager to develop product positioning and messaging that distinctively differentiates JCDecaux products from competitors in market
- Help define the purpose and role of each product and associated formats in response to client objectives
- Contribute to development of strategic out-of-home marketing plans and product strategies to drive demand for JCDecaux
- Work on the launch of new products, innovations and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
- Communicate the value proposition of JCDecaux products to the AU and NZ sales team
- Collaborate on major client presentations, including coordinating multiple in-house teams, contributing to the overarching strategy and collating contributions for final output
- Lead the development and production of marketing materials with in-house Design team, as well as external design agencies, photographers, production and print contacts when required.
- Interpret data from proprietary JCDecaux research tools, as well as external sources, to craft compelling insights and prove product value
- Proficient in proprietary JCDecaux research tools, to deliver data driven marketing and sales collateral (Orbit, Universe, Tableau, Match, Adobe, Adsquare, Calibre).
- Manage product marketing spends, including budget tracking and reporting
- Be responsible for briefing photographers and videographers as required, managing logistics of shoots and distribution of photography content
About you:
You’ll have 4 + years demonstrated experience, within marketing or media (multi-channel media experience preferred). You will be a creative communicator and storyteller with the confidence and ability to work with data and interpret insights. As well as:
Essential
- 3+ years marketing or media experience
- Tertiary qualification
- Communicating - creative communicator and storyteller
- Confidence and ability with data and interpreting insights
- Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate easily and work collaboratively and cohesively with internal and external stakeholders
- Attention to detail, a strong eye for design and high-quality output
- Strategic thinker, proactive and motivated
- Comfortable and confident presenter
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office – particularly PowerPoint and Excel
- Senior client relationship management experience

- Product or brand management experience
- Social media or digital marketing experience
- Media industry experience
- Project management experience
