We're REA

With bold and ambitious goals, REA Group  is changing the way the world experiences property. No matter where you're at on your property journey, we're here to help with every step - whether that's finding or financing your next home.

Our people are the key to our success. At the heart of everything we do, is a thriving culture centred around high performance and care. We are purpose driven and collaborative, which drives innovation and our ability to make a real impact. As such, we’re proud to have been named in Australia’s “Top 5” Best Workplaces two years in a row, as well as being recognised as a Best Workplace for Women.

Where the team fits in

The Market Research and Insights Manager will join an established team of specialists. The team lead the largest feedback and research programs at REA to gain a deep understanding of our customers and audience.  This is a role where your curiosity and analytical mind meet creativity and influence. You won’t just deliver research, you’ll translate data and feedback into actionable insights that shape the future of our business.

What the role is all about

You’ll take charge of end-to-end research programs — from shaping the questions to delivering the stories that spark action.

Your projects will include (but not limited to):

  • Drive end‑to‑end quantitative and qualitative research programs that uncover actionable market, customer, and competitive insights
  • Lead consumer studies that reveal emerging trends, behaviours, and growth opportunities
  • Strategic studies – delivering insights that support a range of business units across REA
  • Collaborating across the business – championing research-led decision-making in every corner of REA

Here, you’ll have the freedom to explore bold ideas and the support to make them happen. This is a hands-on role that blends research with real business impact

What we’re looking for

  • 8+ years in a strategic research/insights role, ideally with large-scale quantitative experience
  • A history of going beyond the numbers – bringing data to life, highlighting the “so what,” and influencing decision-making
  • Experience with qualitative research (or the drive to learn)
  • Proven ability to communicate insights as compelling stories
  • Experience working with research agencies as true partners
  • Comfort breaking convention when it delivers better results

Skills

  • Telling a great story from the insights to inspire, excite and help make decisions
  • Experience using Q, Qualtrics, DisplayR or similar would be an advantage
  • Project management, time management and organisation skills – loves organising

Personal Attributes

  • Naturally curious, proactive, and always looking for better ways to solve problems
  • A confident communicator who can engage everyone from analysts to senior leaders
  • Meticulous with details, but never loses sight of the bigger picture
  • A collaborative team player who thrives on shared success

The REA experience

The physical, mental, emotional and financial health of our people is something we’ll never stop caring about. This is a place to learn and grow.

We are committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity, equity and inclusion. What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
