Reporting to the Head of Operational Risk (Investments):
- Develop and maintain the Investment team’s risk profile to support strategic and regulatory objectives;
- Partner with the Investment business unit to conduct risk assessments and implement effective controls. Execute the Line 1 controls testing program which includes the completion of design effectiveness and operational effectiveness testing;
- Lead the identification, investigation, and resolution of operational incidents including internal and external audit issues;
- Lead activities that facilitate the Investment team’s compliance with CPS230 by enhancing operational continuity planning;
- Deliver operational risk reporting to management and the Board.
- Tertiary qualification in accounting, economics, business or equivalent
- Professional certification (eg, CFA, FRM) or member of Risk Management Institute of Australia / GRC Institute
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
- Demonstrated and proven experience in operational risk and compliance management in investment management and/or superannuation
- Extensive experience and a proven track record with control testing and assurance activities
- Experience in managing multiple projects and prioritising competing deadlines
- Demonstrated ‘commercial’ approach to compliance risk management
- Well-developed interpersonal skills coupled with sound oral and written communications skills
