Chief Operations Office (COO) is responsible for servicing multiple brands within the Group internationally, delivering a highly flexible operations environment, outstanding customer experiences and better risk outcomes. This is achieved through end-to-end process management, use of innovative new technologies and a cross-skilled, capable workforce.

Do work that matters

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a keen interest in risk management to join our team as a Manager Controls Assurance. You will be responsible for executing and overseeing control testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

You will partner with key stakeholders to deliver insights, utilising data and your analytical skills. Working in a fast-paced environment, you need to be adaptive and build strong relationships and work collaboratively with COO Control Owners, COO Line 1 Risk teams, Line 2 and Group Audit.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Conduct Line 1 assurance through testing of complex automated and business controls.

  • Be accountable and take ownership of assigned controls, including application of testing strategies and methodologies.

  • Validate and present findings, document test plans and test results clearly and concisely, including improvement opportunities.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Deliver testing to a high quality, producing accurate outcomes in accordance with established timeframes in alignment with the Controls Assessment Program (CAP) Standard.

  • Drive continuous improvement of the control environment through implementation of continuous control monitoring, automation and control rationalisation.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Controls Testing experience including the identification, planning, testing and reporting on business controls across various business processes.

  • Ability to think critically and analytically and use data driven insights to solve problems

  • Influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels

  • Knowledge of Operational and Compliance Risk frameworks

Your qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Previous experience in financial services (or similar environment), Big 4 and/or risk management highly valued.
