Job Purpose
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Container Hire & Sales Manager to join our growing team!
This role will be responsible for the development and management of the Southern Container Hire & Sales division within DP World. It will establish market presence, building strong relationships in container sales and hire. Engaging with a wide range of accounts/clients within the cluster while also developing and managing key account holders within the business.
Key Accountabilities
Plan sales activities to promote products for cluster
Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with business objectives to drive revenue growth across the Victorian market
- Participate in negotiations and deal closures
- Provide pricing strategies and contract terms for hire
- Regular interface with prospective and current customers
- Establish, maintain and improve key account management practices to ensure retention and improvement to customer base
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions
Lead generation to build and support current and future pipeline
Deliver all Customer KPI’s in accordance with the Sales Strategy/plan
Oversee the end-to-end operational delivery of container sales and hire in Victoria ensuring timely, cost-effective, and customer-focused outcomes
Coordinate with operations team on site to ensure container availability, quality control, and efficient dispatch or collection
Provide regular operational reporting and insights to support forecasting, planning, and commercial decision-making
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- 5-8+ years’ experience working in Shipping container operations.
- 5+ years’ experience in sales / business development in container sales and hire.
- Able to manage priorities, be well organized, methodical and deal well under pressure
- Excel in customer lead generation experience
- Experience in driving and developing relationships
- Excellent consultative sales and relationship management
