At Live Nation, we’re passionate about transforming live events and creating extraordinary moments for artists, event professionals, and fans.

Role Objective:

We’re looking for a detail-driven and analytical thinker to join our Venue Finance team as a Management Accountant. In this 12-month fixed-term role, you’ll play a crucial part in project accounting and financial reporting across a variety of events — from reviewing event settlements to delivering insightful dashboards and reconciliations. You’ll work closely with venue teams, settlement officers, and senior finance staff to ensure smooth, accurate, and efficient financial outcomes that support unforgettable live experiences.

Are you ready to help shape the numbers behind Australia’s most iconic venues.? Apply now with your CV and cover letter and tell us why you’re the right fit for the role.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Event Project Accounting: Work closely with venue staff and settlement officers to ensure event-level financial accuracy and accountability.
  • Settlement Review & Support: Support show settlements during peak periods or high-volume workloads.
  • Monthly Financial Reconciliations: Prepare reconciliations for project balances, balance sheet accounts, and monthly contribution margin summaries.
  • Reporting & Insights: Use Power BI and Excel to create dashboards, Ancillary Per Fan reports, and VIP/membership summaries for key stakeholders.
  • Variance Analysis: Track and report on actuals vs forecasts, highlighting variances and providing commentary to support decision-making.
  • Audit Preparation: Assist with both internal and external audit processes by ensuring project-related documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Metrics & Program Oversight: Contribute to quarterly loyalty program reconciliations and ensure accurate metrics reporting including show counts and attendance.
  • Team Collaboration: Support senior finance staff with timely reporting, project updates, and ad hoc financial tasks.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experienced Accounting Professional: You have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role and are CA or CPA qualification or working towards.
  • Tech-Savvy Analyst: You’re confident with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ideally have experience with Power BI.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: You have a great attention to detail, can identify areas for process improvement and implement them.
  • Detail-Oriented and Deadline-Driven: You thrive under pressure, consistently delivering accurate work — from reconciliations to reports — even with tight turnaround times.
  • Organised and Adaptable: You’re great at managing competing priorities, staying calm under pressure, and adjusting to new systems or processes with ease.
  • Collaborative and Clear Communicator: You work well with cross-functional teams and can explain financial information in a way that makes sense to any stakeholder.
  • Passionate About Live Music: You’re energised by the music industry and excited to contribute your skills to the success of every show and event.

The Benefits:

  • A vibrant, music-focused workplace fostering creativity and collaboration.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
  • Access to concerts, events, and other entertainment perks.
  • A diverse, equitable workplace where every voice matters.
  • Comprehensive benefits, from volunteer days to wellness programs and mental health support.

Equal Opportunities:

We are deeply committed to diversity, inclusion, and supporting our people. In our inclusive workplace, you’re encouraged to bring your whole self to work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. As a growing business, we support your professional and personal development, offering opportunities to learn and grow alongside talented colleagues. We value talent in all forms and welcome applications from individuals of any gender, race, age, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or caregiving responsibilities.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
