The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our high-performing AI team in a permanent role based in either Sydney or Melbourne. This opportunity offers the chance to work across the full lifecycle of AI solution delivery—from research and design through to deployment—using a human-centred approach that aligns with business objectives and delivers seamless, user-focused experiences. You will collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Cloud & Cyber specialists to build scalable, secure, and impactful ML systems that integrate into our broader digital ecosystem.
 

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and deploying both traditional ML and Generative AI models, building automated pipelines, and ensuring robust CICD practices using GitHub. You will translate prototypes into production-ready code, monitor model performance, and implement continuous improvements. The technical environment includes Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, and Docker, with a strong emphasis on AI governance, infrastructure reliability, and cross-functional collaboration.

How will you make an impact?

  • Develop, optimize, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms (traditional ML and Gen AI) in production systems.

  • Collaborate with data scientists to understand modelling requirements and translate prototypes into production-ready code using CICD.

  • Build scalable and automated ML pipelines for data ingestion, feature engineering, training, and deployment.

  • Document the process, monitor model performance and troubleshoot issues, implementing improvements and retraining models as needed.

  • Work closely with Data Scientist, Data Engineer and software engineers to integrate ML models into applications and services.

  • Participate in code reviews, maintain documentation, and follow best practices for software development and ML lifecycle management.

  • Research and implement new machine learning techniques and tools to enhance system capabilities

  • Learn and leverage available AI/ML tools (Azure, Snowflake, AWS, Co-pilot)

  • Deploy new AI solutions, ranging from traditional AI to Gen AI, with available tools

  • Maintain & Enhance existing CICD AI pipeline solutions using Github

  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and security of ML infrastructure

  • Ensure AI Solutions meet evolving AI Governance requirement
