We are looking for a Literacy Content Specialist to join our Essential Assessment (EA) team - our Primary Numeracy and Literacy assessment platform loved by 2800+ schools across Australia.
As a member of our EA Content team, you will collaborate closely with our Assessment Delivery Lead, fellow Literacy content specialists, and in-house publishing team to create and edit exceptional online and paper-based Literacy assessment materials. Your deep subject expertise, passion for Literacy education, and sharp analytical skills will be invaluable as we strive to perfect and deliver a top-tier Literacy Assessment product for Australian Primary schools.

What you will do:
- Write original Literacy assessment materials for Levels 2-8, ensuring adherence to our content quality standards and precise alignment to the given curriculum/s
- Actively engage in robust editorial processes, including detailed pre- and post-production feedback cycles and peer reviews
- Review and map the Australian Curriculum, NSW Syllabus, and/or Victorian Curriculum 2.0 against Essential Assessment Literacy content to ensure robust alignment
About you:
- Primary English teaching experience in Australia
- Tertiary qualification in Education and/or Teaching
- Experience in English assessment writing (digital and/or paper-based) with a solid foundation in item-writing methodology
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to accurately map, interpret, and deconstruct the progressive sequence of English curriculum points
- Understanding of, and genuine interest in, Literacy pedagogy and best practices in Literacy teaching
- Genuine commitment to giving, receiving and applying feedback
- Impeccable attention to detail.
