We’re looking for a skilled Dispute Resolution Lawyer to join our legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of matters including commercial and regulatory disputes. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment where your judgment, advocacy, and strategic thinking will be valued.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage dispute resolution matters including litigation (in liaison with external lawyers)
  • Advise the MMS business on risk, strategy, and resolution pathways
  • Represent MMS in negotiations and proceedings
  • Stay informed on legal practice developments and contribute to team knowledge
  • Provide clear, transparent and regular reporting on complaint volumes, systemic themes and resolution timelines
  • Partner with the Customer Advocate (independent escalation point for internal dispute resolution) to maintain clear delineation between internal and external dispute resolution and avoid conflict of interest
  • Ensure compliance with AFSL, ACL, and third-party licensee obligations
  • Liaise with regulators including ASIC, ACCC, OAIC, and NDIA
  • Ensure the Group holds all required permits and licenses across Australia

You will bring:

  • 4+ years’ experience in legal dispute resolution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach to legal issues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
