As a Legal Administration Assistant, you will provide high-quality administrative and operational support to the legal and dispute teams.
The role is focused on the timely and accurate processing of legal matters, maintaining strong stakeholder communication, and ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements.
You will play a key part in supporting the smooth operation of legal processes and helping deliver positive outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders.
This will be a full time, permanent position based in the Melbourne office, with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage legal inboxes and documentation, including Arbitration Books, subpoenas, letters, writs, and complaints.
- Record outcomes accurately in internal systems, maintain records, and identify legal privilege matters.
- Provide paralegal support for arbitration and litigation, including diarising hearings and preparing data reporting.
- Respond to internal and external queries, build strong stakeholder relationships, and handle urgent requests promptly.
- Contribute to process improvements, knowledge sharing, and provide backup support to the Dispute Resolution team during high-demand periods.
ABOUT YOU
- Knowledge of privacy, compliance, and legal processes within workers’ compensation.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
