At AMS, we’re creating the future of learning, leadership and capability across a business that touches everything from roadside assistance and call centres, through to EV infrastructure and national operations. It’s complex, fast-moving and full of opportunity.

The Learning & Development Specialist role is for someone who wants to build, not maintain. Someone who enjoys variety, can switch between big-picture thinking and hands-on delivery, and wants their work to actually land.

What you’ll be doing:
This is a true blend of design, delivery and coordination. You’ll be across the full lifecycle of learning — from concept through to facilitation and continuous improvement.

You’ll create and facilitate engaging learning programs for a diverse, national workforce, while also managing the end-to-end logistics that bring those programs to life. From building resources and maintaining learning pathways to using data and insights to shape priorities, your work will directly influence capability across the business.

You’ll partner closely with stakeholders, adapt your approach to different audiences, and balance planned initiatives with the pace and unpredictability of day-to-day business needs.

That means:
•    Creating enterprise-wide learning and leadership programs from scratch
•    Designing AI-enabled learning pathways and modern development experience
•    Building a capability framework that actually connects to career growth
•    Working across an incredibly diverse workforce
•    Having the opportunity to travel nationally and connect with the business on the ground
•    You’ll be part of a small, high-impact OD & Learning team that’s deeply embedded in the business — what you create will be used, tested and seen.

What you’ll bring
You don’t need to tick every box, but you do need to be comfortable operating across both strategy and delivery.
•    Strong facilitation skills — confident engaging everyone from frontline teams to senior leaders
•    Experience designing learning experiences (programs, workshops, resources)
•    Solid project management and the ability to juggle multiple priorities at pace
•    Great stakeholder skills — you know how to influence, adapt and build trust
•    Experience with LMS platforms (Cornerstone is a bonus)
•    A proactive, hands-on approach — you’re happy jumping between design, delivery and coordination
You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team, reporting to the Head of OD and working alongside specialists across learning and DEI. It’s a collaborative, down-to-earth environment where people share ideas, support each other and genuinely care about the work we’re doing. We’re well connected across the business, which means plenty of exposure, quick collaboration and the chance to see the impact of what you deliver.
Who are we?
At the AMS Group, we’re more than a collection of businesses – we’re the force behind trusted Australian brands transforming mobility and energy solutions. From roadside assistance and EV charging to automotive batteries and travel benefits, we connect people, ideas, and technology to power a better tomorrow. With backing from Australia’s Mobility Clubs (NRMA, RACV, RACQ, RAA, RAC, and RACT), we’re on a mission to keep people moving and businesses thriving.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
