We are looking for a Lead Software Quality Engineer who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will lead a team of test automation engineers, design and implement robust automation frameworks, and drive the adoption of best practices in test automation
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Lead the team of test automation engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Supervise and mentor test engineers, become a go-to person for the product
- Work with product owners to understand requirement and breakdown user-stories for better estimation and delivery
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable test automation frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, and other relevant tools
- Design test data strategies to ensure adequate coverage of test scenarios
- Collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements and translate them into effective test cases
- Identify automation opportunities and implement automation solutions that enhance test coverage and efficiency
- Define and implement quality assurance processes and standards to ensure product quality
- Collaborate with performance engineers to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize application performance
- Develop and execute performance test scripts using appropriate tools
- Work effectively within an Agile development methodology.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments is a plus.
- Perform Code Reviews and Design Reviews
THE SKILL SET
- 10+ years of experience in automated software testing
- Tech-lead who has consistently demonstrated the capability to develop high level technical design.
- Strong proficiency in Selenium, Cucumber, and Gherkin syntax
- Strong experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript or C#
- Experience with API testing frameworks (e.g., Postman, SoapUI)
- Knowledge of security testing methodologies and tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP).
- Good experience of working with MySQL, MongoDB
- Good understanding of SQL query language.
- Good experience working with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
- Experience with Playwright.
- Familiarity with containers is a bonus (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Ability to understand new problem/business domains.
- Good working exposure to agile development methodologies and scrum process would be an advantage.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
