The Role
Envato is in prime position to grow towards our vision of being the must have and most used creative companion in the world. However, it’s not a straight and narrow path! We are operating in an increasingly competitive and dynamic ecosystem, sitting at the frontier of an exciting yet ambiguous industry evolution as people and products more rapidly embrace creative technology and artificial intelligence developments.
Our Analytics and Research teams use data and insights to cut through the noise and meaningfully steer our business toward growth, partnering with teams and leadership to drive strategically aligned, customer-led, and data-driven decisions. The Lead Ops Analyst will report to the Head of Analytics & Research, and partner closely with operational teams including customer and author success, content operations and review, legal, HR and the people team; as well as colleagues in the broader analytics and data platform teams.
The Lead Operations Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that Envato’s operational analytics capabilities drive efficiency, impact, and growth. Sitting at the intersection of analytics, operations, and strategy, this role provides actionable insights that improve business processes, optimise performance, and support strategic and tactical decision-making.
This is a 12 month, fixed term contract.
What you'll be doing
- Design, build, and maintain scalable reporting frameworks and dashboards for key operational metrics.
- Partner with teams across Envato to align operational analytics with business objectives.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify efficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Effectively communicate insights to stakeholders to drive business impact.
- Act as a trusted advisor to partner areas and senior leadership.
- Balance short-term needs with long-term strategic goals when prioritising work.
- Collaborate with Analytics Engineering to ensure well-structured, scalable data models.
- Liaise with Data Engineering to define and advocate for new data requirements.
- Promote analytics best practices and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.
- Stay ahead of AI-driven advancements to enhance reporting, analytics, automation, and insights.
About you
- You have 7+ years of experience in operations analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
- Strong SQL and data visualisation skills (e.g. Tableau), with DBT Cloud highly regarded.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake or AWS Redshift.
- Strong understanding of business operations and key performance metrics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels.
- Highly autonomous, outcome-driven, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to drive business impact through analytics in a high-growth environment.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to align analytics to business outcomes.
- Experience coaching analysts and fostering a data-driven culture.
- Experience implementing or improving analytics best practices and documentation.
