At The Data Foundry, we help organisations unlock value from data, analytics, and AI. As we grow, we’re looking for a customer-focused Lead Development Representative to help fuel our sales pipeline and open doors with the right prospects.

We are a customer-obsessed, boutique, data consultancy that designs, builds and implements customer-centric, data-driven products and solutions, that help solve challenging business problems across a wide range of private- and public-sector organisations. We are deliberately narrow in our data-related focus areas, but we go deep in each of them, to the point where, if it starts with the word “data”, we probably do it.
We build on AWS, Microsoft, Snowflake, Databricks, DBT, Fivetran, Power BI, Tableau, Apache, Git and a range of modern data platform technologies, using the latest tools, patterns, practices, and reference architectures. We have teams located in Melbourne and Sydney and continue to enjoy solid growth by consistently winning repeat projects with old and new customers who treat us as a trusted extension of their inhouse data, analytics, and machine learning teams.
Job DescriptionWhat You’ll Do
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads
- Run discovery conversations via phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Book qualified meetings for Account Executives
- Research target accounts and decision-makers
- Execute outbound prospecting campaigns
- Nurture early-stage prospects until sales-ready
- Maintain accurate activity tracking
- Work closely with AEs on campaigns and lead quality
- Contribute directly to pipeline growth
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years’ experience in a Sales Development Representative (SDR), Lead Development Representative (LDR), Business Development Representative (BDR), or Inside Sales Representative (ISR) role
- Confident communicator — written and verbal
- Comfortable with cold outreach and follow up
- Strong active listening skills
- Ability to identify current challenges and customer pain
- Resilient and consistent with activity targets
- Good research and account discovery skills
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (WorkFlowMax or similar)
- Understanding of lead qualification process and sales funnel stages
