About the role

 

As a Lead Developer you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining our mobile frontend, backend for mobile frontend and services across our trade domain in a cross functional team environment.

 

You will be a key conduit between Delivery Leads, Tech Lead, Product Managers and your Development Team to lead the problem solving and implementation of a solution. You will be a champion agile software development practices such as test-driven development, continuous delivery and pair programming.

  • Design, code, test and deploy the build and management of the mobile applications
  • Support the implementation of the platform's technology strategy
  • Contribute to a maintainable, high quality, and performant codebase
  • Implement new features in a highly collaborative environment with product managers and engineers
  • Working in an agile team, where iterative experimentation and data driven decisions with product and UX is valued
  • Effectively communicate your technical solutions and product ideas with the team
  • Mentor other engineering team members

Who we're looking for

 

You will be a detail oriented, outcome driven problem solver who is well versed with working within agile environments. As a passionate technologist you are all about knowledge sharing and upskilling and possess excellent collaboration and communication skills. 

 

You'll need:

  • Significant demonstrated experience (ideally a minimum of 5 years) within software development including developing mobile applications (React Native) and backend APIs
  • Strong foundations in Mobile Development including publishing apps to stores
  • Typed language expert with strong foundation in TDD
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful API
  • Experience with GraphQL is preferred
  • Solid experience in Typescript and JavaScript including builds tools
  • DevOps experience with knowledge on how to setup, configure, and maintain a CI/CD pipeline
  • Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices (e.g. agile software development, continuous deployment, behaviour driven development, code review, design documentation, infrastructure as code, etc.)
  • Experience with Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with .NET core-based services would be advantageous
  • Experience with Oauth and OpenId would be advantageous
