Lead Consultant - .NET

As we expand, we are looking for a highly capable Lead Backend Consultant to join a newly formed team within a large enterprise environment, focusing on mission-critical work in the pricing and promotions space. This role is ideal for someone with profound experience in API development, Azure cloud services, and event-driven architecture, who also enjoys shaping team practices and fostering a collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend solutions using .NET Core and Azure Functions

• Experience in large, legacy-heavy orgs.

• Someone who has migrated or modernized systems incrementally.

• Excellent communication—someone who explains trade-offs well.

• Has worked cross-functionally with the product/design/dev/test team.

• Architect and integrate event-driven systems using Azure Event Grid, Service Bus, and API Management

• Oversee CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions

• Guide microservices development, ensuring clean architecture and service boundaries

• Collaborate across teams, including frontend, product, and DevOps, to ensure seamless delivery

• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to a positive, high-performing team environment

Core Technical Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core (6 or 8), C#, and Microservices using Azure Functions, Service Bus, APIM, and App Services

• Practical experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines, ARM/Bicep, and Infrastructure-as-Code

• Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event-driven architecture, CQRS, and RESTful API versioning

• Strong debugging skills, especially across distributed systems

• Strong expertise in .NET Core and Azure Functions

• Proven experience with Azure Event Grid, Service Bus, and API Management

• Solid knowledge of CI/CD using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions

• Strong Git practices and code review culture

Preferred Experience

• Background in working with large-scale enterprise systems

• Full stack knowledge (bonus but not essential)

• Experience in environments with a strong customer or pricing focus

• Track record of contributing to team culture and mentoring others
