As we expand, we are looking for a highly capable  Lead Backend Consultant to join a newly formed team within a large enterprise environment, focusing on mission-critical work in the Pricing and Promotions space. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in API development, Azure cloud services, and event-driven architecture, who also enjoys shaping team practices and fostering a collaborative culture.

Eligibility:

This position is open only to Australian residents or those with a valid work visa. Applicants who do not meet this criteria will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend solutions using .NET Core and Azure Functions

  • Architect and integrate event-driven systems using Azure Event Grid, Service Bus, and API Management

  • Oversee CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions

  • Guide microservices development, ensuring clean architecture and service boundaries

  • Collaborate across teams, including frontend, product, and DevOps, to ensure seamless delivery

  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to a positive, high-performing team environment

Core Technical Requirements

  • Strong expertise in .NET Core and Azure Functions

  • Proven experience with Azure Event Grid, Service Bus, and API Management

  • Experience in building event-driven, microservices-based architectures

  • Solid knowledge of CI/CD using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions

  • Strong Git practices and code review culture

Preferred Experience

  • Background in working with large-scale enterprise systems

  • Full stack knowledge (bonus but not essential)

  • Experience in environments with a strong customer or pricing focus

  • Track record of contributing to team culture and mentoring others
