WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role is within the Nike Direct Retail Brand Marketing Pacific team and reports directly into the Retail Marketing Director. The role collaborates closely with Partnership Transformation, Visual Merchandising and EKIN (product education) teams, to develop retail marketing (in-store and digital) plans and experiences for our sporting goods & speciality consumers.    

You will be part of a team that also collaborates daily with sales team partners, Sport led Brand Marketing teams, Digital Brand teams, all with the goal to tell amazing stories, deliver impactful experiences and increase awareness and sales in the marketplace.

Additional key internal partners in Pacific include teams Demand and Supply Management and Operations teams, as well as colleagues across Asia-Pacific Latin America (APLA) geography. External partnerships include Partner accounts, creative agencies, suppliers, and vendors.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nike is seeking a highly motivated creative individual who is passionate about retail and brand storytelling. This person is driven and a doer, with a sharp eye for detail, thrives in a dynamic, ever-evolving environment.  They are passionate about sport, retail, and understand the power of brand storytelling and consumer connection through stores. This person embraces challenging conversations with external partners (agencies & retailers) and communicates clearly to a broad and diverse audience.

You’ll bring:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in retail marketing and/or brand marketing, visual merchandising, or similar experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Visual Merchandising or related field.

  • A strong understanding of the sport consumer, shopping behaviors, retail journeys and retail trends, with a keen eye for new ideas and innovation.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with proven ability to juggle between the detail and big picture, while managing multiple and competing projects and priorities.  

  • Able to work as part of a matrix, with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally towards a common goal

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You’ll be responsible for developing and executing retail elevation strategies, focused on Running, Training & Football, for Nike with our partner retail doors. From working with our Brand Marketing team to determine seasonal priorities, elevating Nike stories with our retail partners, scaling proven concepts, to working with our Visual Merchandising and Partnership Transformation teams, you’ll work cross-functionally to bring the best of Nike to life in our Partner doors:

  • Lead and develop retail marketing strategies and execution, for key partners across the Pacific Sporting Goods and Sport Specialty marketplace

  • Adopt and adapt retail excellence principles to win with seasonal and seasonless initiatives

  • Engage and deliver clear direction with key agencies to execute Global Sport Direction across doors

  • Maintain brand standards across marketplace partners, partnering with the Partnership transformation team to elevate key partners and doors

  • Become the Sport retail expert on marketplace partners to lead the ideation and creation of consumer-right experiences across diverse partner retail environments.

  • Drive a results-oriented approach for initiatives by ensuring they are focused on the right KPI’s and track/deliver results.
