This role emphasizes hands-on implementation, troubleshooting, and learning best practices to support enterprise clients in digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic to intermediate production issues, escalating complex problems to senior team members.

  • Support DevSecOps practices by implementing security configurations, access controls (e.g., RBAC), and compliance checks.

  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to understand requirements and provide technical support for platform usage.

  • Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to aid team knowledge sharing.

  • Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups, while learning to contribute to architecture discussions.

  • Stay updated on Kubernetes trends and tools to support continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or software engineering, with at least 1-2 years focused on Kubernetes, Docker, or container technologies.

  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration concepts.

  • Familiarity with Linux administration, scripting (e.g., Bash or Python), and version control (Git).

  • Australian citizenship or eligibility for security clearance (preferred for certain projects).

  • Willingness to work from Melbourne office 5 days a week.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Application Developer - CKAD, or cloud provider equivalents) are highly desirable.

Additional Requirements:
Security Clearance Requirement: Given the secure nature of this role, we are seeking candidates who are Australian Citizens with an active security clearance.

This requirement ensures that all team members are clear to handle sensitive information and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of security in our operations.

Flexibility and adaptability are key, as you may be required to work in shifts to provide continuous support. Additionally, you may need to be on call to address incidents promptly and perform after-hours deployment activities as needed. Your ability to effectively manage these responsibilities will be crucial to ensuring the seamless operation of our services and client satisfaction

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
