About the role

As the Key Account Manager, you will be accountable for developing and executing strategies to engage with key Advisers, Dealer Groups and Researchers to support growth in the market. This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a portion of the net flow in the NSW or VIC market.

  • Source leads and new business, maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities to meet our net flow goals.

  • Map adviser practices to the growing asset consultant gatekeeper channel, ensuring top-down and bottom-up connectivity.

  • Grow Perpetual’s net flow/revenue across our priority funds.

  • Generate leads and insights from centres of influence, including platforms and asset consultants.

  • Identify high-quality leads for asset consultants and explore opportunities for Perpetual investment solutions.

  • Manage end-to-end relationships and business development with top small to medium-sized AFSLs in the NSW market.

  • Assist in building support for fund ratings, platform additions, APL additions, and model additions.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary or industry qualifications (FINSIA, DFP)

  • Minimum 3 years of business development experience

  • Solid understanding of the funds management industry, including investment management

  • Strong technical investment/market knowledge across multiple asset classes

  • Sales/account management experience and understanding of the role of the financial planner

  • Ability to drive technical investment interactions to enhance sales opportunities

  • Passion for building businesses – both for Advisors and Perpetual

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence.
