The Role
Reporting to the Edge Service Development - Team Lead, the Junior Backend Software Engineer (Terraform) is responsible for the development of cloud-native technologies powering Megaport’s SaaS-based, multi-cloud, application orchestration platform with a focus on our Terraform provider. Ideal candidates will have a background in many aspects of modern software engineering and an eagerness to create innovative products. The environment is fast-paced and fun while working with cutting-edge technologies.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing client tools for the Megaport API in Go including our terraform provider, client SDKs, and CLI tools.
- Working closely with our API teams
- Meeting with developers in the west coast USA, and Brisbane Australia
- Help triage bug reports, feature requests, and customer questions about our public API tools
What We Are Looking For
- Experience with Hashicorp Terraform
- Experience with the Go programming language
- Experience interacting with APIs using REST
- General understanding of secure coding practices and security tools
- Knowledge of version control platforms and CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab, Github or Bitbucket
- Experience working in an Agile environment, developing in two-week sprints
