Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable IT Support Officer / Junior Developer to join our friendly and close-knit IT team. The role is based at our renowned and iconic Richmond Headquarters, reporting to the IT Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in providing desktop support services and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

Tasks and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Customer Service approach to Helpdesk Support
  • Management and troubleshooting of inbound Helpdesk calls and tickets
  • Write clear, secure and well-tested code that’s easy for others to re-use
  • Identify bugs when discovered or reported
  • Operate the services developed by the team and identify issues in production
  • Validate reported or identified issues and provide recommended solutions or fix when required
  • Collaborates with other developers to continually improve the overall quality of the codebase
  • Create simple solutions that meet user needs with both frontend and backend technologies
  • Deliver and produce a test-driven or behaviour-driven development and continuous integration / continuous delivery cadence
  • User Management
  • Preparation of workstations and hardware
  • Installation of software
  • Network and Printing services support
  • VoIP phone system extension support
  • On-site support for Victorian locations
  • Asset Management, Stock Control, and Record-Keeping via provided systems
  • Collaborate with members of the IT team to share knowledge and escalate incidents
  • Collaborate with IT and Admin teams to develop/refine processes and ways to better facilitate business functions

Qualifications

Ideally you will have:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification or Equivalent Industry Certification
  • Development capability writing test-driven frontend and backend code in JavaScript
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks like React.js
  • Experience with backend JavaScript technologies including Node
  • Experience with HTML, CSS and SASS
  • Experience AWS Lambda and Firebase would highly desirable
  • Experience developing and iterating software in agile multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, and 365 User Management
  • Experience with Windows 10 Desktop Diagnostics and Support
  • Experience Managing Networked Print Environments
  • Experience with CRM Systems such as Salesforce a Plus
  • Strong understanding of common patterns for developing maintainable and scalable web applications
  • Strong Adherence to Process and Procedure
  • Ability to Work Together to Solve Technical Issues with Non-Technical People
  • Excellent Communication Skills, Written and Phone

  • Attention to Detail
