Position: Full-time or Part-time (permanent or fixed-term contract)
The Bigger PictureAt Andromeda Robotics, we’re not just imagining the future of human‑robot relationships; we’re building it. Abi is the first emotionally intelligent humanoid companion robot, designed to bring care, conversation, and joy to the people who need it most. Backed by investors such as Forerunner and Main Sequence and with customers already deploying Abi across elder care and healthcare, we’re scaling fast, and we’re doing it with an engineering‑first culture that’s obsessed with pushing the limits of what’s possible.
As we grow our footprint in Australia and the US, we need our internal technology, tools, and infrastructure to be just as reliable as the robots we ship. That’s where you come in.
Our Values- Empathy – Kindness and compassion are at the heart of everything we do.
- Play – Play sharpens focus. It keeps us curious, fast and obsessed with the craft.
- Never Settle – A relentless ambition, bias toward action, and uncomfortable levels of curiosity.
- Tenacity – Tenacious under pressure, we assume chaos and stay in motion to adapt and progress.
- Unity – Different minds. Shared mission. No passengers.
We’re looking for an IT Operations Analyst to own the day‑to‑day IT foundations that keep every Andromedan productive, secure, and unblocked.
You’ll be the person behind the scenes making sure laptops are ready on day one, accounts and access “just work”, office Wi‑Fi is reliable, iPhones for our Abi influencer program are provisioned at scale, and common issues are resolved before they become friction for the team.
This is a hands-on, detail‑oriented role that suits someone who enjoys making complex systems feel simple for others. You won’t always be in the spotlight, but you will be the quiet force that keeps our people and platforms humming.
Key ResponsibilitiesIT Onboarding & Offboarding- Own onboarding for new Andromedans into our IT systems (laptop setup, user accounts, access to core tools) across both Australia and the US.
- Keep IT onboarding documentation up to date as our stack and processes evolve.
- Support offboarding by ensuring accounts are disabled and access is removed in line with company policy.
- Act as first‑line IT helpdesk for the team (in person and remote), triaging and resolving common issues via our existing Jira ticketing process.
- Set up, wipe, format, and re‑image laptops (Mac/Windows), and troubleshoot common hardware/software problems for non‑technical users.
- Manage mobile devices, including wiping and provisioning iPhones using our Mobile Device Management (MDM) tooling for our influencer mobile application, taking over this repetitive but critical work from the platform team.
- Maintain and patch machines for non‑technical employees, including proactive “check‑ups” for leadership and key stakeholders so they don’t need to think about their devices.
- Support basic networking in the office (Wi‑Fi, switches, routers, cabling) and coordinate with external IT providers for more complex issues.
- Install AV and other equipment into our new office.
- Monitor office IT infrastructure health and highlight risks or recurring failures, including simple fixes like replacing lost meeting‑room cables.
- Collaborate with COO/CFO and co-founder on vendor management and SaaS procurement, optimising costs and consolidating tools
- Manage user access and conduct basic maintenance for company tools such as Google Workspace and Odoo
- Maintain clear, up‑to‑date records of:
- Systems we use and who owns them
- IT playbooks for common issues (for example “new laptop setup”, “password manager setup”)
- Propose and implement small, practical improvements to IT processes that reduce friction for the team and keep things running smoothly.
- Help ensure IT practices support security, privacy, and compliance requirements, escalating risks where needed.
RequirementsRole Requirements
- Experience in an IT operations, service desk, or technical support role, ideally in a high‑growth or multi‑site environment.
- Hands‑on experience with:
- Setting up, wiping, and re‑imaging laptops (Mac/Windows/Linux)
- Basic networking in an office environment (Wi‑Fi, switches, routers)
- Administering identity and access through tools such as Google Workspace and password managers
- Comfort with repetitive, detail‑oriented work where the biggest compliment is often that nothing is broken and nobody notices you had to intervene.
- A calm, service‑oriented mindset: you enjoy helping others, even when the work is unglamorous, and you’re happy to work independently without constant praise.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve common issues for non‑technical teammates.
- Clear, concise communication, both in person and in written documentation.
- The right to work in Australia without the need for visa sponsorship at this time.
- Experience with MDM tools and large‑scale device provisioning (for example fleets of iPhones or laptops).
- Exposure to Odoo or similar inventory / ERP systems, including basic configuration or scripting.
