Note: This is a full-time, temporary 2-month onsite project.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Coordinate rack & stack activities including installation of servers, storage, and network equipment
- Coordinate and oversee structured cabling activities including vendor coordination and quality assurance
- Perform installation, configuration, and validation of physical IT infrastructure components
- Support setup and configuration of servers, switches, firewalls, and related infrastructure equipment
- Configure network devices through serial console connections when required
- Monitor installation progress and ensure alignment with project timelines and quality standards
- Maintain accurate technical documentation including rack layouts, cabling maps, and validation records
- Prepare weekly progress reports and final implementation documentation
- Ensure compliance with GxP standards
- Collaborate closely with local and global IT infrastructure teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of infrastructure-related technical issues on-site
- Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and handover of implemented infrastructure to local IT operations
Requirements
- Completed IT education or comparable technical qualification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure support, system administration, or datacenter environments
- Hands-on experience with rack & stack activities, structured cabling, and datacenter setup
- Experience with VMware, Windows Server, Dell, and Aruba infrastructure technologies preferred
- Basic understanding of network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, and SD-WAN technologies
- Experience configuring network equipment via serial console
- Good understanding of infrastructure documentation and implementation standards
- Experience working in regulated or GxP-controlled environments is an advantage
- Strong troubleshooting, coordination, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced project environment
- Service-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Experience working with international and multicultural teams
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) required
- Availability for full on-site assignment in Melbourne
- Candidates may be required to provide a criminal record certificate not older than three months
