About the role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting all users across the organization through the IT Helpdesk and other communication channels, ensuring the timely resolution of technical issues. You will also play a key role in maintaining, administering, and improving our IT systems to ensure smooth and secure operations.

This position reports directly to the Head of IT and will be remote in the UK, Ireland, Portugal, or Spain.

What You’ll Do

  • Enabling product development by providing in-depth, hands-on support to engineering requests

  • Onboarding vendors and applications into the company tech stack

  • Formulating requirements for IT solutions, designing IT systems, and implementing, testing, and maintaining IT Services.

  • Owning major projects from inception to deployment, shipping at a rapid pace

  • Architecting simple yet flexible solutions, and then scaling them as we grow

  • Maintaining compliance standards by ensuring employee life cycle processes are executed properly

Your experience includes

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience supporting IT infrastructure, troubleshooting, and managing end-user environments.

  • Experience with macOS administration in a professional IT environment (we are a Mac-focused shop)

  • Experience delivering production-grade IT services

  • Understanding of navigating ticketing platforms and supporting end users via written communication

  • Mastery of SaaS and AWS technologies

  • Experience building and scaling distributed and highly available architectures

  • Sense of urgency, ownership mindset, and customer focus

  • Well-versed in technical writing and documentation of structured processes

We’re looking for

  • Experience with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code

  • Experience with scripting languages (Bash or Python)

  • Knowledge of maintaining and querying data platforms, with scripting language (SQL)
