The IT Business Process Analyst will be engaged on a contract basis to define, document, and optimise the as-is and to-be processes for IT and Security onboarding and offboarding, with a focus on automation, efficiency, and risk reduction. The role will work closely with People & Culture (P&C), IT, and Security teams to uplift processes, streamline approval steps, and embed smarter review mechanisms.
Beyond onboarding and offboarding, this role will also contribute to other IT process improvement initiatives, which may include identity and access management (IDAM) and other security or service-related processes, ensuring all work aligns with business needs, compliance obligations, and technical capabilities. The position is suited to someone with strong process mapping skills, a solid understanding of ITIL practices, and the ability to translate technical opportunities into clear business value.
As our IT Business Process Analyst your key responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Lead workshops and interviews with stakeholders to capture as-is onboarding and offboarding processes from an IT & security perspective.
- Design and document to-be processes incorporating automation, efficiency improvements, and governance controls.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process simplification, automation, and enhanced approval workflows.
- Collaborate with IT, Security, and P&C teams to align process changes with compliance and operational requirements.
- Develop and maintain high-quality process documentation, workflows, and RACI matrices.
- Support requirements gathering for IDAM initiatives, ensuring integration with onboarding/offboarding processes.
- Apply ITIL best practices to design sustainable, scalable processes.
- Ensure process changes are communicated clearly and embedded effectively across
- relevant teams.
- Provide input into technical solution evaluations from a process and requirements perspective.
- Track and report progress against agreed deliverables and timelines.
About You
- Strong business and process analysis skills with the ability to map and optimise workflows.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, including the ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong understanding of ITIL principles and their practical application.
- Ability to identify and articulate automation opportunities and technology-enabled improvements.
- Clear and concise written communication skills for process documentation and requirements.
- Proficiency with process modelling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, BPMN tools).
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Demonstrated experience in business/process analysis in IT and/or security environments.
- Experience working on onboarding and offboarding processes, ideally with exposure to P&C/HR processes.
- Previous involvement in requirements gathering for technical initiatives such as IDAM, access control, or security systems.
- Proven track record of delivering process improvements, including automation and workflow optimisation.
- Experience working in ITIL-aligned environments.
- Prior experience in contractor or project-based roles is advantageous.
